Project description

Begoña, an expert psychologist with over 7 years of experience, had a solid base of returning patients and a strong reputation through referrals. However, her patient acquisition relied almost entirely on word of mouth.

Her goal was clear: increase the number of patients and establish a consistent, sustainable acquisition channel.

Identified challenges

  1. She lacked a strategic digital presence.

  2. Her unique value proposition was not effectively communicated.

  3. There were no acquisition funnels or conversion optimization.

  4. The contact process was fragile and poorly structured.

  5. There was no content to build trust before the first session.

Design process

The challenge wasn’t just designing a website. It was turning the identified problems into a digital product that builds trust even before the first session.

Discovery

Before designing anything, we needed to understand something deeper:

What does someone feel just before starting therapy?

We spoke with current patients,
with people who had hesitated for months before taking the step,
and with the psychologist herself.

We also conducted a competitor analysis.

Insights

The decision to start therapy isn’t rational—it’s emotional and vulnerable.

Clear patterns emerged:

  • Fear of not being understood.

  • Uncertainty about the first session.

  • Doubts about commitment and duration.

  • Shame about needing help.

  • The need to feel a connection before booking.

We understood something fundamental: if the website doesn’t reduce uncertainty, people leave.

We also observed that the market offered long, information-heavy websites with little hierarchy or structure.

Hypothesis

If we organize the information to reduce uncertainty, clarify the process, and make immediate action easy, it will increase the conversion of visitors into new appointments.

Product Strategy

Build authority and reduce uncertainty:

  • Explain why this psychologist over others.

  • Highlight a clear specialization.

  • Define the conditions treated according to the target audience.

Emotionally regulate the user:

The website needed to convey:

  • Calmness.

  • Clarity and confidence.

  • Professionalism and approachability.

Enable immediate action:

  • Clear and consistent CTAs.

  • Frictionless contact.

Architecture

The final structure was as follows:

  • Home focused on the user’s problem.

  • Clear and distinct specialties.

  • Modalities (in-person, online).

  • Testimonials as social proof.

  • Optimized contact section.

Visual design

  • Neutral and warm palette to convey safety and calm.

  • Spacious layouts.

  • Clear hierarchy.

  • Mobile-first design (most therapy searches are on mobile).
